Singing bowl resonance
A sound-activated approach to crystal singing bowl resonance.
Prometheus is being developed to stimulate the natural acoustic response of a quartz crystal singing bowl with precisely reproduced airborne sound—without a striker or mechanical actuator touching the bowl.
Sound meets the bowl
A purpose-positioned acoustic driver sends controlled sound waves towards the quartz bowl. When the source material and level interact with the bowl’s acoustic character, the bowl becomes an active part of the listening system.
Repeatable sound programmes
Traditional singing bowls are played by hand. Prometheus explores prepared sound programmes, controllable playback and repeatable session structure while preserving the physical presence of a resonating bowl.
A system in development
The current concept combines the bowl, acoustic source and controls in one focused object. A version for suitable bowls that users already own is also planned. Final compatibility and production details are still being tested.
